Well, I had not heard the expression "deslavar" since a 4 year old told me we could not play because "me despeinas y me deslavas", who could have guessed then that a made up word like that would end up being used for real, I just had a good laugh.

Jokes aside, and as there is not an opposite for "lavar" and I can not imagine it means "ensuciar" wich could be the closest, I asume it really means "desteñidas" and that is what I have always called faded. Come to think of it, a couple of years ago there was this fashion where faded or pre-washed jeans were also made to look dirty or soiled, with brownish tints, so maybe they are referring to that. I think I heard of the dirty look, but I think I would go for something a bit milder, like distressed, which I think conveys the idea perfectly.

Stone-washed could also do, but that had a very specific translation if I remember well, "lavados a la piedra".
