Caros colegas,

estou a traduzir uma carta portuguesa e há uma frase, uma conjunção que me custa algumas dores de cabeça (embora seja bastante elementar). A frase é a seguinte:

"As pessoas indicadas neste formulário são os avós de X e por isso não têm direito às prestações familiares pela legislação portuguesa desde que os pais beneficiem deste direito, como foi já informado no ofício de Y"

O problema é a tradução da conjunção 'desde que' nesta frase. Eu conheço-a como sinónimo de "com a condição de que", portanto "provided that", "on condition that", mas tenho a impressão que aqui antes significa "visto que", portanto "because", "as". Não sendo português, queria a opinião dos "natives".

I think all the four can be used in this context as well. You could also use "due to". Of course you might need some changes in the structure.
You can even try "whereas"
