English translation: Spanish Archives Portal

Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general) / Registry reference of Archives
Spanish term or phrase: Pares
In a document from Spain, it gives a reference to a file in the General Archives of Simancas. It includes the word Pares.

Archivo General de Simancas (AGS). Registro General de] Sello (RGS). Legajo 147607,515. Pares. Anexo 1.

I assume "Legajo" is file, but Pares??? Even numbers? Pairs?

Thanks in advance.

Explanation:
Or: Portal of Spanish Archives

You can leave PARES in your translation if you think that would be beneficial to the reader, but the acronym will most certainly need to be spelled out (at least once in your translation) so that the TL reader will know what it indicates.

neutral  philgoddard: I didn't include a translation because I'm sure the asker is intelligent enough to work out what "Portal de Archivios Españoles" means.

Portal of Spanish Archives

Explanation:
PARES is the name of a company whose name bears those initials. A portal could be a doorway or a gateway.
As the one who asked the question wrote:
'un legajo' is a file.
'pares' are normally couples, pairs or peers.

(Es sobre el Portal de Archivos Españoles).

disagree  AllegroTrans: Have you bothered to read Sandro's answer? Did it occur to you to agree with it? Why do you persistently repeat other people's answers? In any case, PARES is not a company.
