I don't understand what the phrase clean child refers to in this context. The original text is actually in Danish and this is the translator's version.
Anyone can be a volunteer and become involved with the house, including you. We simply need a clean child- and criminal record certificate.
Both local residents, residents of the house and other interested parties can be volunteers. You only have to be able to supply a clean child and criminal record certificate.

I actually know what clean criminal record certificate means. Could someone explain what does "child" actually mean here? Does it mean the child should also present a clean criminal record certificate? That's a bit awkward that's why I'm not sure about the translation.
