Italian term

lavorato a disegno

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) Roads
The sentence reads: "Fornitura in cantiere di acciaio per cementi armati FeB 44K lavorato a disegno". I understand it as "as per drawing" but don't understand the "lavorato". HELP!

Discussion

Eileen Cartoon Oct 29, 2015:
Since it is for reinforced concrete I presume it is the steel rods that are set in the concrete. Perhaps, if they are worked against a drawing they are not simple smooth rods but have cross-hatching or some other form of working of the surface which makes it grip in the concrete better

prepared as per drawings

This is an unusual expression, but I assume it means that the steel reinforcement should be delivered to site pre-bent/welded/assembled ready for placement.

(I'm an architect. I do this stuff).

the exact method of preparation is not specified. So the translator shouldn't attempt to specify it either.

NB "Fornitura in cantiere" = "Supply to site"
