Geological study or survey? In my translation there's often "studi gelogici" and occasionally "rilevamenti geologici". Are they the same thing? Here is an example:
...Indagini geologiche e studio geologico a corredo dei Progetti di edilizia residenziale.

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Regarding my suggestion of using the plural, I was too hasty in making that suggestion without looking at the specific context. Since it was for a CV, I was assuming that it referred to the student's course of study (in which case, it would be geological studies, regardless of whether it was singular or plural in the source text), but I see now that this refers to a particular investigation, so it should be singular. Sorry about that.

Right, it's not the same thing. "Geological survey" could refer to the government organistion that handles geological matters (e.g. USGS, United States Geological Survey) or it could refer to a map-making process where surveying instrumentation is also used, or even just a reconaissance of an area to get an idea of the geological lay of the land, so to speak.

yes, but the term is in the singular. You would be correct if the term was "studi geologici", but it isn't.
