In my text (written and located in the XIX century), speaking about a horse it is said that "it goes along like a buttock of beef upon castors", that is to say that it is big, slow and lazy. do you have any good Italian translation of this idiomatic expression?

Anche "come un pachiderma sui pattini", con l'idea del pachiderma, suggerita da rigrioli, che in italiano dà già di per sé l'idea di grandezza eccessiva e impaccio
