'structure' sounds odd to my ears in this context. I honestly do not think adding is necessary as 'construction' implies 'faite par l'homme'

neutral  Tony M: I felt the same, though I'm a bit worried that 'constructions' may be a little too grand for the sort of things they're talking about, like ancient terraced cultivations, for example; it's not really talking about buildings as such.

Just a sketch, have left out the 'known' and no doubt my word order could be corrected by our native colleagues — but I just wanted to suggest that maybe 'ouvrage' is the better word for 'structure' here, since like Ormiston, I feel that 'structure' sist somewhat awkwardly in FR.

And I have a sort of gut feeling that 'homme' might read better than 'humain' in this kind of context?
