One is born, grows up, grows happy, grows weary, and dies. So long!
That is if I had to do it from scratch and didn't already have available the fine translation of Bel Ami.
I've also put in "on attend" because I just felt that I couldn't leave it out in the new formula, another option for it was "waits a while"
If I really wanted to push my luck I would have also said "grows dead" instead of "and dies", maybe after another cup of coffee ;-)
