New Year's Eve


Explanation:
At least in Brazil, réveillon (this is the correct spelling in French, in PT-BR the accent is often omitted) refers to New Year's Eve rather than the commemorations, as we have several expressions like "vou passar o réveillon na praia" or even "festa de réveillon".
I believe that, more than just New Year's Eve, it means the moments leading up to the heralding in of the New Year ("virada do ano").
BTW, the Réveillon Firework Display in Copacabana is just wonderful - definitely not to be missed! Be prepared, however, to share the sands of sun-soaked Copacabana, "the Princess of the Sea" as Brazilian singer Tom Jobim called it, with 2 million revellers.
