she has such right, but I personally see no use of it: if she denies official (legit) translation then people will certainly get nonofficial (illegal). Who wins?

Indeed, she could do better and use her royalties from Israeli much wiser IMO)

Walker is just another example of those so-called celebrities, who think with their hearts and not their heads. Their guiding epistemological principle is that the "underdog" is always right. Such people therefore have no need to engage brain, all they have to do is find the underdog. Walker is just another example of those so-called celebrities, who think with their hearts and not their heads. Their guiding epistemological principle is that the "underdog" is always right. Such people therefore have no need to engage brain, all they have to do is find the underdog. So Walker, wittingly or unwittingly, leaps on the bandwagon of the heart and shoots herself in the foot, by acting as the censor of her own works in the only country in the Middle East where there is a true free market of opinions, and in which her ideas might have an impact. Things are not perfect in Israel but try being an atheist, gay, a single mother or just a liberal anywhere else in the region.Collapse

This is the result of allowing "celebrities" to think the world revolves around them. Massive egos, sanctimonious and uninformed crusades....

I also don't get such a close comparison between apartheid in South Africa and the situation in the Middle East. It's like comparing apples and oranges. They're both fruit and grow on trees, that's about all they have in common.
