When something (a case) is no longer paid attention to/investigated, and is left unresolved, it becomes a cold case. What we say in Urdu is: یہ معملہ سرد خانے کی نظر ہو گیا۔

  -> Jazak ALLAH for your remarks, Irshad sb. Well, 'to become cold' does mean to ignore something. This is the standard legal equivalent to 'Sard Khana.' It, however, would be great if you could suggest something better to help asker.

Explanation:
The phrase I am suggesting is used in English and I suspect the Urdu phrase may well be a direct translation of it. I would be surprised if سردخانا is not a recent accretion into Urdu.
