Italian term

Effetto meteorico

Italian to English Other Cooking / Culinary
I am describing Fagioli - Beans .. and their cooking methods.

Come ridurre gli spiacevoli effetti meteorici - Tenete a bagno i fagioli prima di cuocerli, come sempre, in acqua fredda,

I haven't a clue what they mean by "effetti meteorici"

Any suggestions most welcome

Thanks!

Gli effetti meteorici sono i gas provocati dalla digestione dei fagioli :-)
