I'm with SJLD. If you want to help the people who are trying to help you, *at least* provide the entire sentence and some background information about your document. Also the country of origin and where the translation is going would help.

disagree Let me clarify my 'disagree' vote: Obviously a 'reanimateur' is a resuscitator - this could refer to a person as well as to the equipment used. If one just translates the two separate words, then 'anesthesiologist-resuscitator' is the result. The Google mechanical translator, or Babelfish, could produce an equally brilliant translation. The problem with this answer is that there are only about 132-135 Google hits for this phrase in all, many of them are repeats of the same text, and the majority of them are translations from Russian, and a few from Italian (and I didn't check all 132 listings!). I don't find ANY listings from original UK or US English sources to convince me that 'anesthesiologist-resuscitator' is a valid, common medical term that is used in the field. Then we also have the additional problem that our asker was too busy to provide any context, as SJLD wrote. This makes it very difficult to to suggest an English term with equivalent meaning (which anesthesiologist- resuscitator is not).

Depending on the context of the original text. I would just translate it simply as anesthesiologist. They are considered to be resuscitators.
I have not come across the term anesthesiologist-resuscitator except in the passage Drmanu aptly found. Unless of course the original text is making a distinction about who resuscitates the patient as in Drmanu's passage.
