This is an odd one. I'm translating a text about a winery and there is a sentence describing the unique nature of said winery, how it stands out against the rest, and they use the word "inoxidable" in a way that I can only assume is metaphorical, but I am unaware of what it could represent. Is anyone aware of a metaphorical use of this term in Spanish? Could it refer to a sense of timelessness? As in, if something doesn't rust, then it lasts forever. Here it is in the context of the sentence (Can Rafols is the winery):
En un mundo del vino donde el espectáculo y el inoxidable ya irrumpieron con fuerza, Can Rafols era una isla.

It seems to me that Can Rafols is sticking to traditional winemaking methods using wooden or other vats for fermentation in a classic, old masia-type building rather than fermenting in stainless vats in a hypermodern winery like the ones designed by leading international architects that have appeared in la Ribera and La Rioja.
