sensitive/susceptible to penems in high concentrations Explanation: Note the plural, it denotes a whole group of antibiotics known as penems. Some of these also have an "i" preceding the suffix: imipenem, doripenem, panipenem, ritipenem. To be more precise, these four actually belong to two related drug families: penems and carbapenems, so you may want to write "penems/carbapenems" instead of just "penems". The usual pathogens targeted by these antibiotics are Pseudomonas spp. |
