Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
German term or phrase: Auftr.
The wordings:

Siemens-Auftr.-Nr.: S2991
Siemens-Best.-Nr.: At239

I think both means "Siemens order number"?
But what is "Auftr." ?

English translation:Auftrag (order)
Explanation:
It's a tricky one here to translate both "Bestellung" and "Auftrag" (both, at least superficially, meaning "order") - this discussion might give you a hand:

agree  philgoddard: If they do mean different things, you could say "job" for "Auftrag". It's possible to have multiple orders for one job.

agree  Johannes Gleim: Im Kontext sind beide Begriffe "Auftr.-Nr" und "Best.-Nr," mit (purchase) order zu übersetzen. Auftragsnummer ist im Deutschen falsch gewählt.

Order

Explanation:
I would distinguish the second term with purchase order although both can be translated with order
