Les escribo para solicitarles un consejo sobre la siguiente oración que debo traducir, por favor.

Oración: "Su nombre en inglés lo dice casi todo. Iceland significa literalmente "tierra de hielo".

Esta oración pertenece a un libro de cuentos que estoy traduciendo, donde se nombra mucho a Islandia y la comparan con el amor de una mujer que no tiene corazón.

El protagonista dice está oración, pero al traducirla al inglés tal como "Its name in English speaks volumes. Islandia literally means "land of ice" pierde completamente el sentido porque, como sabemos, en inglés ice es "hielo" y land es "tierra", pero en español no es lo mismo. Ustedes la adaptarian tal como "Island comes from the Old Norse and means "land of ice" o la traducirían completamente en inglés como "Its name in English speaks volumes. Iceñland literally means "land of ice"?

Explanation:
You don't need to explain that Iceland means land of ice, because in English it's a statement of the obvious.

Instead, I would write a couple of sentences summarising this:
