[...] For example, patients may use a 7-point SMBG regimen, testing before and after each meal and at bedtime, over the course of 3 to 7 days. Or, patients may use a “staggered” regimen , testing before and after alternating meals (e.g., pre- and post-breakfast on Monday, pre- and post-lunch on Tuesday, etc.), over a 2- to 3-week period.37,72 By staggering SMBG measurements at different times on different days, patients can generate an accurate portrait of day-to-day glycemic excursions while avoiding the need to test many times in a single day.37

For patients on premixed insulins, the minimum should be a fasting measurement plus one postmeal measure each day (using a staggered pattern by testing after different meals on different days).

one test per day at different mealtimes

Explanation:
Not sure if there's a specific term, but you could simply go with "subsequently one test per day, at different mealtimes"
and if you wanted to specify, you could follow that up with "(for example after breakfast on day one, lunch on day two, dinner on day three)"

neutral  philgoddard: I don't think this works on its own - in both your references, it's followed by an explanation.

-> It's a medical record, not a prescription for the patient. "A scacchiera" on its own is equally obscure to the nonspecialist reader
