Ho letto che questa crema spalmabile ha avuto un effetto polarizzante sui consumatori nel senso che è stata amata oppure odiata. Io utilizzerei "effetto quasi polarizzante". Non so se specificherei simile alla Marmite perché in italiano non mi sembra sia un prodotto noto.

Explanation:
"effetto polarizzante" mi piace molto, ma potrebbe essere un registro un po' alto rispetto all'originale. Girando la frase potresti dire: I look della casa di moda San Sebastian li ami o li odi (ogni lookbook viene creato per essere amato o odiato), un approccio... ecc.

  -> buona domanda, nella mia versione si perde, in compenso il "o lo ami o lo odi" è più immediato di "polarizzante" a mio modesto avviso. Tradurre è dire quasi la stessa cosa (cit.)

Mi sembra di capire che parlare di "marmite-like approach" equivalga a dire "love it or hate it", dato che i consumatori si dividono appunto tra quelli che adorano la Marmite e quelli che la odiano (io l'ho provata e posso dire tranquillamente di appartenere a questi ultimi...).
