Cioè che giocare di continuo non può di certo attivare la self-actualization che Maslow descrive nella sua dissertazione (v. link). Si tratta di un avvizzimento mentale che non porta a "fortificare" il concetto del sé secondo i parametri maslowiani.
Così mi suggerisce una veloce ricerca in rete. Ho aggiunto quel "puramente" come significante rafforzativo del concetto che etereamente ti sfugge.

ciao :) A me sembra che abbia iniziato a farsi domande per il fatto che forse stare seduto a casa a giocare non gli consentisse di ottenere nulla. Quest presa di coscienza deve avergli fatto venire la voglia di smettere. Questo è quello che mi sembra voglia dire.
