bis spätestens U+9 schriftlich

German to English Law/Patents Law (general) power of attorney
This is from a power of attorney authorizing and requiring persons to do certain things.

The authorized persons must inform a manager about something "1x monatlich im Nachgang bis spätestens U+9 schriftlich." It's the term "U+9" that I can't figure out.
Proposed translations (English)
4 in witing by the end-of-month + 9 days (one week + weekend) at the latest
3 has to inform x and y by e-mail within U+9 at the latest

Ultimo Too late now but Ultimo is fairly common shorthand for "last day of the (whatever time period was referenced, e.g., week, month, year). So I would agree with Bernd. It's also logical in this context.

Plaudits to Bernd R. 1x *monatlich* im Nachgang bis spätestens *U+9* schriftlich - the U must refer back to the monatlich. Basic logical reasoning that is needed to lift the plane off the ground.

Zeitzone? U ist eine Zeitzone, und +9 bezeichnet die Stunden, die man der Zeit in der Zone U hinzuzählen muss? Es fehlt allerdings eine Uhrzeitangabe :-)

U=Ultimo (?) Also: Bericht über den Vormonat(szeitraum) bis zum 9. Tag des Folgemonats.
Ob sich das hier jetzt tatsächlich auf den kalendarischen Monat oder einen beliebigen 30/31-Tage-Zeitraum bezieht, ist schwer zu sagen. So würde ich das jedenfalls lesen.

@Scott There is no way to be sure. You should ask the client for verification. Please let us know what you find out. Is this a text in Word format? is it the result of OCR? Is it a bilingual file you received for a CAT tool? Are there other occurrences of "im Nachgang bis spätestens" in the text?

The whole sentence, with proper names redacted: "a) Grundsätzlich gilt, dass die Bevollmächtigten den Geschäftsführer der XXX sowie die zentrale Stelle der XXX (Mr. YYY) 1x monatlich im Nachgang bis spätestens U+9 schriftlich per E-Mail zu informieren haben" (there is no preceding or following sentence)

However, it would be helpful if you could post the whole sentence (and each sentence before and after it) so that we can get a better view of things.

Thanks to Bernd R. in the Discussion Entires for his clever deduction of this abbreviation.

The 9 is a give-away for Allegro's idea of the number of days - one woerking week + 2 days for the weekend to allow for posting.

Perchance the asker can confirm the country of origin: DE, AT or - from my experience - CH.
Example sentence:
