Logo, pode-se entender o princípio da economicidade como maior benefício, menor custo.


A vantajosidade determinada no artigo 3º da Lei 8.666/93 espelha basicamente a busca por contratação que seja tanto economicamente mais vantajosa — menor gasto de dinheiro público — quanto que assim o seja qualitativamente - melhor gasto.
