neutral  Anna Herbst: It is my understanding that the Superintendent Registrar does not actually officiate but rather organises the necessary paperwork before and after the marriage. Performer of marriages sounds odd to me, whereas the suggestions in the old KudoZ are all good

  -> Thanks for your input, Anna. It doesn't look like you've ever got married in E&W. As per my marriage cert., our SRM in Southern England vs *officiant in the US* and, solemnisiing the marriage, def. officiated at my wedding (alas, to a non-Swedish girl).
