1. Position the jaws of the instrument around the tissue at the point of transection.
2. Close the jaws of the instrument by fully squeezing the handle once and release the handle back to its original position.
3. Check to ensure that the pin is fully seated (as the pin aligns the cartridge and anvil).
4. Are you happy with the placement of the instrument? To fire the instrument, firmly squeeze the handle a second time (all the way back) until it stops, and release. After firing staples, the handle will stay in the locked position.

mandíbula
I know that /mandíbula/ is used for the jaws of a wrench, for example, so if this instrument is analogous to a a wrench, I think you have it right.
