Il capocaccia gli accoglie mentre disbriga le pratiche burocratiche. Quando tutti sono sul posto, fatta una frugale colazione, ci si divide nei due gruppi ‒ quelli che staranno alle poste, e quelli che andranno coi cani ‒ e si inizia l’attribuzione delle singole postazioni ai vari postaroli: il gruppo dei cacciatori deputati al tiro.
