Law/Patents - Law (general) / criminal judgment
French term or phrase: AJP sollicitée à l'audience
This is taken from a French criminal judgment and appears at the very beginning of the document where it is naming the parties. Although a criminal action, there are also parties making claims for civil damages:

a été appelée l'affaire
ENTRE :
Monsieur le PROCUREUR DE LA REPUBLIQUE, près ce tribunal, demandeur et poursuivant

PARTIES CIVILES :
Monsieur A, demeurant X, partie civile,
comparant et assisté de Maître C, avocat au barreau de COUTANCES, (AJP sollicitée à l'audience)

Monsieur B, demeurant Z, partie civile,
comparant et assisté de Maître D, avocat au barreau de LE HAVRE,

The only reference I can find for AJP is certain journals, but I can't see how that fits in here.

Thanks.

It turns out in this particular case its aide provisionnelle (determined from another section of the document), but points go for having pointed me in the right direction (which the other answer also did, but this answer is better overall)

neutral  philgoddard: I don't understand your explanation, and AJP in your reference stands for Association des Journalistes Professionnels.

-> Explanation: legal aid. And I'd already posted my answer before spotting Tim06's.

disagree  AllegroTrans: Reference is off-topic and expansion of acronym is not correct
