Spanish term

Gerencia de Área

Spanish to English Medical Medical: Health Care clinical research agreement
this is usually followed by 'de' and then a gap which I assume will contain the name of a place, as in the selection which follows:

I. Que con fecha [●] la Gerencia de Área de [●] , NAME OF COMPANY, y [●], (en adelante todas ellas denominadas las “Partes”) firmaron un CONTRATO, (en adelante, el “Contrato”) para la realización del ensayo clínico (en adelante, el “Ensayo”) bajo el título “[●]”, número [●], en el Centro arriba identificado y bajo la dirección de la [●] del Servicio de [●], como Investigador/a Principal.

Question is, how to translate the above: Healthcare Management of XXX? Management of the XXX (place name) area? Or something else.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

sorry so late, yes it does and I think your answer is the right one. Many thanks.

SHA Hi, just a quick question. Does the document refer to a Spanish public hospital? If so Área refers to the Spanish NHS geografical administrative divisions. The English equivalent were the Strategic Health Authorities until they cease to exist 4 days ago.Hope this helps.

Area Management

Creo que la traducción literal estará bien.
Example sentence:

Area District, Madrid Area Police Department, etc.

Divisional Management of...

Area is a false friend here as it rarely relates to a physical area.

For example, companies often have an 'area de ventas', 'area de investigacion' etc. In English we rarely use area in this sense.

Another alternative would be

Departmental Management, depending on which is more appropriate in the context.
