Ciao,
Sto traducendo un racconto di Daudet, "Le pape est mort".
Si parla di un ragazzo che ama andare in barca a remi sulla Saône (anzi, se c'è qualche lionese in ascolto avrei un'altra domanda personalizzata) e descrive il suo stato d'animo durante queste gite. Teniamo conto che il libro è del 1873.
La frase che mi dà problemi è questa, anzi è una parola a darmi pena, e cioè VALUES, la inserisco tra *** (metto un po' di cotesto):
...il fallait ramer et ramer aux heures de soleil. oh ! les pleins midis tombant d'aplomb sur la rivière, il me semble qu'ils me brûlent encore. Tout flambait, tout miroitait.
Dans cette atmosphère aveuglante et sonore qui flotte au-dessus des ***values *** et vibre à tous les mouvements, les courts plongeons de mes rames, les cordes des haleurs soulevées de l'eau toutes ruisselantes faisaient passer des lumières vives d'argent poli. Et je ramais en fermant les yeux.

Non riesco a trovare altri significati oltre a "value" nei composti tipo plusvalore, minusvalore.
