This sounds somewhat strange in English...normally we don't reserve a whole page for a sample/example of something in the text...and we would not call a page which has a sample/example "an example page"...typically illustration pages are special pages, for example, in a dictionary which parts of the body or different kinds of flowers

As I know, "شاهد آوردن" in poetry means quoting some related instances or similar verses in other literary works in order to affirm what you are saying, or only for producing aesthetic effect.
