I'm not looking for a hyper-literal translation. I need the equivalent of what they would say in France. I'm assuming it's be roughly the same, though. It's from a poem.

Pourquoi faire simple quand on peut faire compliqué ? ;-) Ce n'est pas parce qu'on traduit de la poésie qu'on doit trahir l'original en "fleurissant" !

"Iwant to see you. I want to kiss you" sounds a bit flat in English, lacking the passion you'd associate with something like this , hence I jazzed it up a bit.
