大量購入による一括割引/段階性割引 Explanation: 2つの割引は違う種類のものです。定訳があるかどうかは分かりませんが、以下が私の解釈です; 最初のslab wise discountのslab厚板や食べ物の場合厚切りのことを指しますが、ここでは、ひとかたまりや大量を意味するのではないでしょうか。問屋からまとめて仕入れることによって、その問屋が大量に一括購入してくれることで一括割引をしてくれることだと思います。反面、scaled discountのここでのscaleは段階を設けたという意味で、自動車保険などでよく見られる事故率や年齢制限などの条件によって保険料が段階的に安くなるシステムと同じではないでしょうか。上記の文に当てはめると、ある程度の取引回数や実績による割引制度があり、それが段階的(例えば1年継続すると、5%引き、2年目は7%等)に行われるシステムのように思えます。 |

まとめ買い割引 / お得意様割引 Explanation: Yasutomoさんの仰るように、扱っている商品と割引の内容によると思いますが、普通に訳すならこんなニュアンスですかね。 slab wise discount (slab discount)はYasutomoさんがおっしゃるように、同じものを大量に買った場合の割引といったニュアンス。たとえば肉とか、ビーズやネジのような小さなパーツなどに使えます。つまり、まとめ買い/一括買い割引といった意味ですね。 scaled discountはお客様の質(?)に応じた(scaled)割引。つまり、取引回数や契約期間に応じた、お得意様割引といったニュアンスだと思います。ただ、「お得意様割引」は直訳だと「loyalty discount」といった表現が一般的です。そこであえて「scaled discount」という表現を使っているところを見ると、一括購入した数/量に応じた割引という解釈もできるかも知れません。 そうなると、先のslab wise discountと言わんとしていることは同じという解釈にもなり得ます。 |
