If protective clothing is mentioned explicitely, then compound seems to refer to an agent, a spray in this case. Then "Hautschutzmittel" as proposed by Natascha should be a good translation.

And should be less than "protective clothing" Later in the text there is another paragraph what to do when it is applied through a spraying method. Then you should use "protective clothing", so "protective skin compound" should be a less effective (and more comfortable) way of securing.

@Natascha Spinetto, @Christiane Feldmann-Leben: Thanks for the first proposals. I haven't really much more context, sorry. It's a list of hazardous materials, like components of colours; low VOCs, enamel and so on. And in the next column there is a description of the measures which should protect the health of the personnel. Like keeping containers closed when not using it, faceshields/masks during handling and similar. So I really not know if there is a special protection item like "protectice skin compund" or if it is only a common hint to use gloves and not bringing the skin in contact with this items. So that's the reason I am asking this question.
