Persian (Farsi) term

اندیشه ام محو بیکرانی آن بود

Persian (Farsi) to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature From the Night of the Sea (از شب دریا)
Greetings,

I am reading an excerpt from Persian literature.

شکوه دریا چنان خیزه ام کرده بود که اندیشه ام محو بیکرانی آن بود

The splendour of the sea had so fascinated me that …

Unfortunately I am completely unable to make head or tail of the last bit. Is it perhaps an idiomatic expression of some kind?

Please indicate any ezafes (extra kasres between words).

All the best, and many thanks,

Simon

my mind disappeared into its infinity/boundlessness

I tried to stay close to the Persian but make it fluent in English, too.

agree Alireza Amini : actually this is the best kind of translation that both the source and the target languages are taken into consideration

My thought was fascinated by its shorlessness/ boundlessness

As Mr. Golavar said this sentence is not an idiomatic expression at all. It is poetic language somehow.

pronunciation:
Andishe am mahv e bikarani e An bood

I was fascinated by its infinitude

I was fascinated by its infinitude

Here, آن refers to the "sea". And "محو چیزی شدن / بودن" is a collocational phrase. It means "to be fascinated by sth/sb".

There are two "ezafe"s here. One between /mahv/ and /bikerani/, and the other one between /bikarani/ and /An/.
