French term or phrase: occasionnel
I'm translating a patient's lab results. On the preprinted form, it lists the normal values for each test. For several of them, including the "hématies" test, the normal value is "occasionnel." The translation is into U.S. English. Thanks in advance.

Context is everything. Since this form defined "occasionel" as 0-2 per hpf, I think "rare" is the term that's called for in English. Thanks to everyone who responded.

Explanation:
Hello,

I just think it means "irregular" (here and there).

I think that both are said in lab reports as regards the frequency of findings.
