Discussion

zabrowa (asker) May 27, 2007:
Basically, yes.
Andrea Nagy May 27, 2007:
But nasal vowels occurring without a nasal coda justify creating two contrasting sets, nasal and oral. Is this it?
Andrea Nagy May 27, 2007:
Let's see if I got this right. In most languages, vowels before nasal codas become nasal. This happens in English as well, but this is a simple phonetic process, so English does not have phonemically nasal vowels.
zabrowa (asker) May 27, 2007:
Though I appreciate all responses, please note that this is a Pro question - in other words, I have a dictionary and know what CONTRIBUEM means. Please look at the context before submitting an obvious answer because you can assume there is likely a good reason for asking it. Here, "also contributes in defining / to the definition of" is ok, but somehow sub-par, at least in my opinion...

help to [define]

Your "participates in" is pretty good. I use "help to" a lot for "contribuir para."

disagree Nathalie Tomaz : onde esta a diferença. A pergunta é sobre "contribuem". O colega sabe traduzir "também"
