German term

Kufen

German to English Tech/Engineering Furniture / Household Appliances Service
Schüler-Kufentisch - Höhenverstellbarer Schülerkufenstuhl,Kufengestell aus Präzisions-Ovalrohr.

Talking of a range of school desks and chairs. Descriptions. The "runners" given in glossary does NOT appear to apply in this context. Any help, please?

Leveleki (asker) Jul 19, 2006:
Does it really make sense??? If I use "skid", then it would be a School skid desk, or a School desk on skids. Neither sounds quite right, does it really?!?! Also, if you Google it, then all you get is NON-skid desks! Has anyone come across anything else for Kufen? One that I have found is "cantilevered leg-frame". Any further ideas, please?
