English translation: intercessory prayer list

English term or phrase: akathistos
In the Eastern Orthodox church, an “akathistos” is a hymn to the Virgin Mary (in the Byzantine tradition - see link below); in the Romanian tradition, it can be either that or a list of names given to the priest for him to pray for the persons listed. I need an English equivalent for the second sense of the word, if there is such a term. Any suggestions would be most welcome. TIA

disagree  Elena Petelos: "I need an English equivalent for the second sense". Your answer is for the first equivalent. /I think you're missing the point here: http://tinyurl.com/qdos6 In English, the term "akathistos" is only used in reference to the Greek (tradition/language).
