A palavra fetiche não surge no contexto mais habitual. Não sei se a devo manter em EN tb entre aspas se deva optar por outra palavra....

agree  craigs: lavish works a heckuva lot better than fetish; AVISO: beware, the contemporary use of "fetish" especially when applied to a room can have an overt sexual connotation

Para mim, o quarto fetiche significaria o quarto preferido na casa, por motivos sentimentais (utilizado pelos avos) ou por motivos de conforto (casa de banho em mármore).

Posso estar enganada neste contexto, mas no Brasil se usa bastante objeto fetiche para dizer objeto preferido.
