I answered a question and got 4 points from the asker, then the moderator deleted the question.

I asked a question and then got an answer but the moderator deleted the question (he doesn't even work in the field and yet came to the "verdict" that it "lacks technical merit").

I don't think the moderators are doing anything good for us translators. Instead, they are more of a hindrance than a help on this website.

I understand there are rules, but if a question was posted and people were talking about it, the question was worth asking, right? Maybe some rules need to be changed.

It is not the moderator's business to make judgments on the "technical merit" or otherwise of a question.

You should file a complaint about this moderator. The lack of technical merit should never be a reason for deleting a question or even downgrading it from pro to non-pro.
