It does work though with same termbases in Studio 2011! I read through relevant threads here as well as this (trying reorganizing etc): http://producthelp.sdl.com/kb/Articles/4451.html To no avail. Thanks Paul. Run the fixit tool, and it sort of kept flashing the dialog very fast for a minute, then it went through. There was some point where it mentioned 32 bit version (my machine is 64). I unpinned it and enlarged it. Still did not seem to work. I closed the pane. I reopened the pane (View>Term Recognition), and it worked! However, I see that in latest version there are still some shortcomings. I.e. if the target term starts with a capital, and one enters the same letter as lowercase, no autosuggest entry appears. It will appear only if the letter entered is capital: | | | Case sensitive option... | Mar 6, 2014 |

Excellent, another problem solved. I have a feeling that it would be useful for most people for the default to be unticked? Just my 2 cents | | | Bruno1011 Local time: 14:12 German德语译成Spanish西班牙语 + ... Same problem here | Mar 10, 2014 |
Hello I have the same problem that Spiros reported: terms are not recognized nor suggested even though they are in the termbase. I already run the automated solution mentioned in http://kb.sdl.com/kb/article?ArticleId=5060&source=Article&c=12&cid=23 because a week ago I wasn't able to add terms to a termbase (a different one). I already run the automated solution mentioned in http://kb.sdl.com/kb/article?ArticleId=5060&source=Article&c=12&cid=23 because a week ago I wasn't able to add terms to a termbase (a different one). After running it, term addition worked again (although since then I very frequently get annoying messages from Internet Explorer asking me if I want to allow Java to make changes in the system: if I accept it, then the term addition stops working and I need to run the automated solution again...) However, now the problem is different: no term recognition/suggestion. This is a termbase received from the customer. I have reorganized it and still no improvement. I have tried what Spiros did (unpin the window, enlarge it, close it and open it again) but this is not working in my case. The terminology provided by this customer is of mandatory use, so that I need a quick solution!! ▲ Collapse | |

Bruno, which version do you use? 2014? If yes, can you test it on 2011 if you have it? Did you test any other termbases? What is your resolution? Did you try changing that? | | | Bruno1011 Local time: 14:12 German德语译成Spanish西班牙语 + ... Now it works | Mar 10, 2014 |
I use Studio 2014. Unfortunately I don't have Studio 2011, so I can't compare. However, I tested other previous projects and the term recognition/suggestion still worked fine in them. After this, the term recognition/suggestion is working again! My impression so far is that Studio is very good when it works, but it is not robust at all and it should still be in the development phase, not being sold to real customers who depend on it for their work and need reliability. ▲ Collapse | | | Spiros Doikas Local time: 15:12 正式会员 (自2002) English英语译成Greek希腊语 + ... 主题发起人
I had similar issues with project packages I was sent (is this your case?), i.e. the project TM not updating, so I had to manually remove it and add it again to make it work. Mind you, all programs of that sort of complexity have their fair share of bugs. | | | Spiros Doikas Local time: 15:12 正式会员 (自2002) English英语译成Greek希腊语 + ... 主题发起人 Issue with specific term not recognized | Mar 10, 2014 |
As you can see in the screen below, there is a term "allows you" in the termbase However, term recognition does not get it, although it gets the other terms in that segment. I very much wonder why... I have tried deleting the term and adding it again; adding it in a different termbase, to no avail. Funnily enough, further down it worked, and the only difference being that in the segment that it worked there was no tag before the term...

Yes, the "problematic" termbase was included in a project package sent to me by the customer. And by the way, as in your case, my machine is 64 bits. Maybe it has something to do? | | | Same issue here | Jun 4, 2014 |
Term recognition seems to be erratic. In general, it works, but I notice that some random terms which are included in the termbase do not show up. What I experience is what has already been described in this thread. I am also using Studio 2014 on 64 bits (Win 8.1). When I was using Studio 2009, a behavior similar to this was experienced when trying to work on Studio 2009 after having used Trados Workbench and/or TagEditor, and there used to be a small exe file to be ru... Unfortunately, the suggested solutions haven't worked for me. I still don't get any results from my glossary. Terms are visible only via search option. It is annoying. Also, I can't change my java security options since they changed the security tab. Only High and Very High options are available now and I can add exceptions only to sites (?). Please tell me how to add java security exceptions in version 8.4. | | | 话题中的页数: [1 2] > | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Term recognition not working in Trados Studio 2014 CafeTran Espresso | You've never met a CAT tool this clever!
