French to English Other Advertising / Public Relations
From a brochure produced by the sales department of a magazine for potential advertisers. The full phrase is "Mettez fin aux tunnels de publicité!" I assume this means one advertisement after another without any editorial content in between. But I can't find how this concept would be expressed in English. Any ideas?

And after that? I'm sure your understanding of the phrase is correct, but we need to see the French. I imagine that after saying "le magazine où les produits sont rois," it goes on to explain why.

More context The text continues "le magazine où les produits sont rois", which to me suggests that the magazine is devoted to the products and, in that sense, replace the advertisements... and these "tunnels".

Making the advertiser's message stand out is the classic promotional problem. Although my suggestion is not a direct translation, it expresses the idea you describe, I think.

agree Just Opera : Yes. Tunnel here = like when you go and see a film at the cinema and there is a long chain of adverts before the film. The more adverts shown the less impact any single advert has upon the viewer.
