I'm thinking of getting in touch with my client tomorrow, cause I think something's definitely wrong/missing here - but before I do so I thought I'd ask you first.

This is from a consultancy agreement -- the part on "early termination" of the agreement.

"Upon early termination, in relation to any deals relating to receipt of cash funding or benefit-in-kind, which deals are concluded after the date of termination, then [Pary #1]shall in terms of its obligation under Clause 4.1 to pay the Consultant* a commission or performance-related bonus to the extent, in the reasonable opinion of [Party #1] that such concluded deal was attributable to the input of the Consultant."

(The Consultant is Party #2)

I don't really need a full explanation, but if it does make sense to you, maybe you can help me break up the syntax (esp. "which deals" and "then Party 1 shall..." SHALL WHAT???)

agree  Andy Watkinson: More than "just an idea", I would say - removing the "to" (which was probably mistakenly included by inertia, given the antecedent "obligation"), it makes perfect sense. The Consultant gets paid. Full stop. :-))

of course it is not correct, but I think this is the sense,
and *concerning the deals concluded after.................
This is what I understand even if not correct :)
