English to French Other Government / Politics

English 'chicanery' is derived from French 'chicanerie', which is in turn derived from chicane. Because of its origin, we see many documents where English chicanery is translated into French chicane. However, as far as I know, these two words have subtly different meanings.
For example, when it comes to political chicanery, it means political trickery, dodge or ruse. On the other hand, French 'chicane' means bickering or dispute, or at the most, delaying tactics (in litigation). So, 'chicanes politiques' (only if this expression exists) is different from political chicanery.

See the following sentences:
A. 1) Mr. Speaker, for several months in this House I have watched the political chicanery and skullduggery from the other side.
2) Monsieur le Président, depuis plusieurs mois j'observe les mesquineries des députés d'en face et les chicanes politiques.
B. 1) ... or if its intentions amount to nothing more than the political chicanery that we are witnessing here this morning.
2) ... l’intention d’étudier aussi ce qui se passe dans d’autres pays ou de poursuivre ces chicanes politiques, comme c’est déjà le cas ici, ce matin.
C. 1) ... reasonable, well-buttressed critiques of all manner of political chicanery and unsustainable practices connected with the Games.
2) ... des critiques raisonnables et bien étayées de toutes les magouilles politiques et les pratiques intolérables en lien avec les Jeux.

I think that the French translation of C 'magouilles politiques' is right, and A and B are just wrong translations of false friends. What do you guys think about it?
