The term ‘tight balance’ is used in Reuters news to refer to 紧平衡. There are not many references for broad equilibrium. But I still choose it because ‘broad’ sounds more like 宽, and ‘broad equilibrium’ is used in the reference provided by AAJohnston. Once again, your opinions are appreciated. Further discussion is welcome.

there is a term called general equilibrium as opposed to partial equilibrium, not sure that the term general is translated into 宽..，
