Lower case is quite common, particularly for 'rpm'.

agree vixen : TPM is Dutch (toeren per minuut), in English RPM is correct. Although these abbreviations are often written in capitals in English, I believe this is not necessary.

I believe it's Revolutions Per Minute = RPM.
HP is right.
