The oversize from the trommel may be the result of a low density in the mill. The discharge appears to be very fluid and although the density measurement indicated 78% solids it is considered that the density could be raised fractionally to increase the residence time within the mill.
Increasing the density may be attempted with operator supervision, to prevent a “dry choke”.
