Not sure how to put this in architectural terminology- "coping"?

neutral  philgoddard: I can't agree with any answer that "Zorra" has contributed to. And fascia and finial are two completely different things.

  -> Yep, thanks.But with respect Phil,either could work. as indeed could the asker's own ' coping stones' . The ST simply isn't specific enough to rule anything out, unfortunately.
