This is from the maintenance instructions for a laminar flow hood.

Reinigen Sie den Filtersitz, nachdem Sie den Filter entfernt haben.

On several German websites, I’ve seen this translated as “filter seat”. But it just sounds so Denglishy. This can’t be the correct term in English, can it?
