Yo lo traduciría así: 1) Drive EN/Trieb AL: pulsión ES 2) Impulse EN/Impuls AL: impulso ES 3) Instinct EN/Instinkt AL: instinto ES Sin pormenorizar, puedo adelantarte que Konrad Lorenz, ni más ni menos, considerado como uno de los padres fundadores de la etología o comportamiento animal, empleaba los términos "Instinkt" y "Trieb" como sinónimos, por ejemplo aquí: AL "Als einen Instinkt oder Trieb bezeichnen wir ein im Ganzen spontan aktives System von Verhaltensweisen, das funktionell genügend einheitlich ist, um einen Namen zu verdienen". ES Posible traducción (mía personal): Identificamos como instinto o pulsión un sistema activo de formas comportamentales, espontáneo en su conjunto, que desde el punto de vista funcional es suficientemente uniforme para merecer un nombre. Lo que aporto es una idea espontánea que me ha parecido válida y creo que podría servir. En esencia, el “instinto” es algo innato a todo ser vivo, humano o de cualquier otra raza (por ejemplo, el instinto de supervivencia, con todos los matices posibles, claro), mientras que la “pulsión” trasciende lo puramente biológico para adquirir matices que aporta (como comenta Wikipedia) la “historia ontogenética” de cada individuo concreto.
